UK Kendamil Goat Formula Update

Due to increased demand for Kendamil Goat in the UK, we’ve supplemented our supply with formula made by the same trusted manufacturing partner that produces our Kendamil Classic formula and some other recipes for overseas markets.

What you may notice on the label

You may notice a slight change in the order of some ingredients listed on the label, but the ingredients themselves remain the same.

Ingredient update

Although the calcium source used in this recipe is a little different, it still provides the correct levels of calcium to support the same nutritional benefits and meet all UK infant formula standards.

What you may notice on the tin

You may notice some tins have a sticker placed over the original best before date. This is because the packaging was printed using the US date format (MM/DD/YYYY), which differs from the UK format (DD/MM/YYYY).

To avoid any confusion for UK parents, we have applied a sticker showing the best before date in the correct UK format. The date itself has not changed and the sticker simply ensures it is displayed clearly for the UK market.

What you may notice at home

You may notice the powder looks slightly lighter or fluffier, or that the prepared bottle has a slightly milder goat aroma or sweeter taste.

This is due to minor differences in ingredient sourcing and processing and does not affect the quality or nutritional value of the formula. Most parents find the taste and smell very similar to what they are used to.

When will this happen?

Stage 1 Infant Formula: You can start finding the new batches in retail from Wednesday 18th, and they will be available on Kendamil.com from Friday 20th March.

Stage 2 Follow-On Formula: The new batches will appear on shelves in April, and will be available on Kendamil.com later in April. More information to follow.

These dates mark when the updated batches will start reaching stores and our website.

Will my baby notice a difference?

Most babies continue feeding as usual. However, every baby is unique and some may take a few feeds to settle if they notice small differences in taste or smell. We’ve put together a gradual transition guide below to help you manage the change with confidence.

Baby formula transition tips
  • 1. Start by replacing just one feed per day with the new formula.
  • 2. Each day, increase by one additional feed using the new formula.
  • 3. Over the course of 5–7 days, gradually move to feeding your baby exclusively with the new formula. This gradual introduction helps your baby adjust to any small differences in taste or smell.

See our handy transition chart to help you plan

Please Note: The example shows five bottles per day as a guide only. The number and volume of feeds will vary depending on your baby’s age and individual needs. Please always follow the feeding guidance provided on your tin.
