preparation

Add 1 level scoop of powder to each 30ml of waterª. This feeding table should only be used only as a guide. All babies are different and may require more or less than is shown below. Kendamil Organic First Infant Milk should be fed on demand. If you need more advice talk to your healthcare professional.

1 level scoop = 4.3g
ª Amount of freshly boiled and cooled water

Snap open tamper-proof clip and dispose of immediately and safely, away from children. Hold the top of the can with both hands, place both thumbs under the lip and push up to open. The scoop is held inside the lid. Open the foil seal by pulling back on easy open tab carefully and safely, then dispose of foil.

Step 1 

Wash hands, then sterilise your feeding utensils according to manufacturer’s instructions. 

Step 2 

Fill kettle with 1 litre of freshly run tap water (do no use repeatedly boiled water). Boil and leave to cool for 30 minutes, so it remains at a temperature of at least 70ºC. Measure the required water into a sterilised bottle.

Step 3

Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of levelled scoops to the bottle. Use the straight edge inside the lid to level each scoop.

Step 4

Place on a sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well to dissolve powder.

Step 5

Cool to a natural body temperature. Always test the temperature of the liquid on your wrist prior to feeding your baby.

"I have noticed that the organic Kendamil milk I bought from Asda looks like it was missed packed. The can for organic milk infant is different form the pink can milk infant Now the organic lid is exactly the same as pink can Kendamil first milk plus the spoon looks exactly the same too. That’s why it made me question if the milk was not wrongly packed ? Or is it just the packaging but the product is still the same ?"

"We are mixed feeding our newborn and chose Kendamil organic specifically for no fish oil or palm oil and the creamy taste that is close to breast milk. I love them product, the ingredients, the branding and the built in leveller in the tin. My only feedback for improvement is that the tin lid on the new containers can be tricky to open - especially one-handed while trying to bounce a hungry baby"

"This is actually the best baby formula I have ever come across. I adore the fact that this formula is made in the UK and that it is free of palm oil and fish oil. I always buy the organic for my boy and having tasted this formula myself can save with certain tea that you can taste the quality in this formula as opposed to other formulas on the market. I would not put my son on any other brand and if I have any children in the future, they will absolutely be having Kendamil as well. My seven month old son is happy and thriving."

Most healthcare professionals agree that breastfeeding is preferable to bottle feeding because it has many benefits for both you and your baby.

If you are considering changing over from breastfeeding or combining breast and bottle feeding, you are advised to talk to your midwife or health visitor first. Partial bottle feeding with an infant formula milk, especially in the first few weeks of life, may also reduce the supply of your breast milk.
