preparation

Add 1 level scoop of powder to each 30ml of waterª. This feeding table should only be used as a guide. All babies are different and may require more or less than is shown below. Kendamil First Infant Milk should be fed on demand. If you need more advice talk to your healthcare professional.

1 level scoop = 4.3g
ª Amount of freshly boiled and cooled water

Assumes weaning at 6 months.

Snap open tamper-proof clip and dispose of immediately and safely, away from children. Hold the top of the can with both hands, place both thumbs under the lip and push up to open. The scoop is held inside the lid. Open the foil seal by pulling back on easy open tab carefully and safely, then dispose of foil.

Step 1

Wash hands, then sterilise your feeding utensils according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Step 2

Fill kettle with 1 litre of freshly run tap water (do not use repeatedly boiled water). Boil and leave to cool for 30 minutes, so it remains at the temperature of at least 70℃. Measure the required water into a sterilised bottle.

Step 3

Using the scoop provided, add the correct number of levelled scoops to the bottle. Use the straight edge inside the lid to level each scoop.

Step 4

Place on a sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well to dissolve powder.

Step 5

Cool to a natural body temperature by running the bottle (lid on) under cold running water. Always test the temperature of the formula on the inside of your wrist.

We love Kendamil!

"Our 2nd little one is absolutely thriving on Kendamil! My first born used another brand & we had nothing but issues - this time around, we have no issues at all and baby loves Kendamil (he’s a lovely chunky baby & sleeps through!!!) Not only that - but the customer service is great. Any issues with orders are resolved VERY quickly."

Milk powder is great but the Packaging is not good.

"The milk is fine. But one bottle was broken (damaged) from the lid. So I will have to transfer the milk powder to an old tin and use it. Really inconvenient!! Not happy about it."

Warahene G. (3/5)

Lovely local brand

"We transitioned onto Kendamil at 3 weeks old when we realised aptimel had fish oil in it. We loved the fact that Kendamil was approved by the vegetarian society and made in Kendal. We now get it delivered monthly on subscription, I only wish they did refills or you could choose not have the plastic spoon in each one, as seems a waste."

Kendamil is a total Game Changer for my baby

"Switched from C&G to Kendamil and the difference was almost instant 🙌🏼 My little boy has way less colic and trapped wind now, and he’s finally pooing regularly too. If you’ve been thinking about making the switch, honestly, just do it!"

Jonathan B. (5/5)

You saved my newborn

"My newborn at 2 days old got hospitalised. she wasn't feeding. my breastmilk wasn't that much either. she also had some jaundice. after days of drinking Kendamil stage 1 ready to drink formula, she started getting better and her weight increased. Thank you for the formula you've made, they are nourishing my babies."

MRS A. (5/5)

Baby loves it!

"My 5 month old has been on this since birth and she has had no problems at all. Only gripe is that it doesn’t dissolve the best and if not thoroughly mixed and shaken and swirled then it clumps up. We went to Spain and used Hipp and didn’t have this issue at all. After speaking with other mum friends - seems to be a Kendamil specific thing."

Grace W. (4/5)

Top

"We switched to Kendamil for our son and all has been well! No issues We also trust this brand a lot more as it is local and usually the risk of food fraud is lower when using local products… Highly recommend it!"

Good milk and my little

"Good milk and my little boy seems to have no problems with this milk, did try a different brand and that made him be sick so he had no problems with this brand of milk"

Q&A

Please read the following notice

Most healthcare professionals agree that breastfeeding is preferable to bottle feeding because it has many benefits for both you and your baby.

If you are considering changing over from breastfeeding or combining breast and bottle feeding, you are advised to talk to your midwife or health visitor first. Once the decision to stop breastfeeding has been made, it may be difficult to go back. Partial bottle feeding with an infant formula milk, especially in the first few weeks of life, may also reduce the supply of your breast milk.

If you choose to bottle feed, it is very important that you use an infant formula milk throughout the first year.

Please ensure that you follow all usage instructions very carefully.
