preparation

If warmed, check temperature on wrist before feeding. never prepare the baby's bottle in advance. For hygiene reasons, either discard unfinished feed or keep in the fridge and consume within 24 hours.

Wash hands and sterilise all utensils according to manufactures' instructions. Check best before date and then shake bottle well. Pour the required amount of milk into a sterilised feeding bottle. Serve at room temperature, or warmed if desired. If warmed, check temperature of feed.

Wonderful product but supply issues aren’t great

"I love Kendamil Organic, as have both my children. I feel very reassured knowing they’re getting organic, British milk from an independent family-run company. However, with both babies, Kendamil has had shortages, limiting sales. That is NOT reassuring. I hate not knowing whether I will be able to get more formula next week. I appreciate the company is working very hard to sort this out, but in the two years since I first started using Kendamil, the problems do not seem to have been resolved. I would love for Kendamil Organic to be reliably available. Then it would be a five-star project."

"Great product however the storage instructions are not mentioned on the bottle making it ambiguous whether refrigeration is allowed or not. I had to contact customer service to have this confirmed, 2 hours at room temp and 24 hours refrigerated."

Please make them bigger

"Only have 4 stars as the bottle is smaller than the Kendamil first infant. . My little one would more often finish them. So going down a size isn’t great. I have changed his milk so much due to all the recalls so he didn’t like a different taste again but Organic is far better so he’s getting used to it. He does still prefer the bottles I make fresh but when we are out these are ideal."

Most healthcare professionals agree that breastfeeding is preferable to bottle feeding because it has many benefits for both you and your baby.

If you are considering changing over from breastfeeding or combining breast and bottle feeding, you are advised to talk to your midwife or health visitor first. Once the decision to stop breastfeeding has been made, it may be difficult to go back. Partial bottle feeding with an infant formula milk, especially in the first few weeks of life, may also reduce the supply of your breast milk.

If you choose to bottle feed, it is very important that you use an infant formula milk throughout the first year.
