Letter from our family founders
A message from our family founders
Following the recent high demand for our powder formula in the UK, we are very pleased to be able to share an update that will ensure more Kendamil on-shelf for families.
We know the big question from our parents in the UK has been when will we be able to increase our production to meet demand - and we’re delighted to confirm that families will see this happening from this November, in just a few weeks.
This is because, after an incredible amount of work by our formulation and partnerships team, we are bringing on-board an additional partner factory to help increase our production of Classic powder formula. This will allow us to triple our current production levels with immediate effect and ensure Kendamil Classic, made with British whole milk, is there for every UK family who needs it.
As some of you may know, we are in the midst of an ambitious expansion of our factory in Kendal - one that will triple our production capacity in the Lake District and create 50 new local jobs. Like all good things, this expansion will take time and our partnership with an additional world-class facility is designed to ensure parents enjoy uninterrupted supply as we make our home factory bigger and better-than-ever. As we make exciting expansion to our home a reality, this will mean that our Classic formula will not be made in Kendal for a period of time.
For Kendamil Classic families, rest assured our signature ingredients remain unchanged. Kendamil Classic will continue to be made with love using the same British whole milk from UK farms, as well as staying fish oil free, soy free, palm oil free and vegetarian certified - qualities we fundamentally believe in and will never compromise on. Our world-class R&D, Quality and Manufacturing teams have been and will continue to be involved in every step of the process, working tirelessly to ensure our highest quality standards are met. We take our formula as seriously as you do - it is our baby after all.
For us, continuing to support our British farmers, investing in our Kendal factory and making more formula available for the families who need it now are our top priorities and this solution will allow us to do all three. Our number one feedback from parents is that it sells out quickly and can be hard to find on-shelf. To those parents, we have heard you loud and clear and know that positive change is on the way.
We expect that Kendamil Classic will be readily available in stores across the UK over the coming weeks, with new subscriptions opening up on Kendamil.com from early January. Our customer support team are standing by for any questions, and we will be sharing all the news of when the new stock is available across our social accounts and email newsletters.
Thank you all for your understanding and patience as we grow together. We’re honoured to be part of your journey, and we’re hopeful to be here for many more.
