Kendamil supports Jamie Oliver campaign to maintain British Food Standards

We need to put our children’s health first. Right now, more than ever, we need our kids to grow up strong, healthy and ready to face whatever life throws at them.

Our kids will be the most vulnerable if our markets are flooded with unhealthy foods high in fat, salt and sugar. We need to put our children’s health first. Right now, more than ever, we need our kids to grow up strong and healthy, ready to face whatever life throws at them.

– An extract from Jamie Oliver’s letter to the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

Jamie Oliver’s Campaign to Maintain British Food Standards

Chef Jamie Oliver stood in kitchen with ingredients on counter

Earlier this week, you may have read Jamie Oliver’s passionate open letter to the Prime Minister, calling upon the Government to protect British farms, farmers and food producers in future trade deals and maintain British food standards here in the UK.

A petition has been launched by the National Farmers’ Union which urges Government to commit in law that food that would be illegal to produce here in the UK, should not be imported as part of future trade deals.

Kendamil are proud to support Jamie Oliver and the National Farmers’ Union’s campaign to support British food safety, traceability, animal welfare and environmental standards.

Why are Kendamil supporting this campaign?

British food safety standards are among the highest in the world. As Britain’s only baby milk, we treasure our organic, grass-fed dairy from local family farms across our supply chain.

Unfortunately, despite having some of the finest fresh dairy in the world here on our shores, over 99% of all baby milk sold in the U.K. is made using foreign milk, sold by foreign brands.

Worse still, big industry is letting our children down, using cheap ingredients like palm oil and fish oil, which devastate our planet’s rainforests and oceans, for the sake of cutting costs.

British children deserve better – the finest full-cream, grass-fed British dairy, lovingly hand-crafted with no palm oil, no fish oils, no GMOs.

This is what we stand for. It’s who we are, where we’re from and what our children deserve.

What can you do to help?

With your help we can achieve something truly extraordinary – safeguarding the food safety, nutrition and wellbeing of our children for years to come and keeping Britain’s place at the forefront of global food excellence.
